Note: This role is based in Toronto, Canada, and requires eligibility to work in Canada.Key Responsibilities: Assist the People & Culture Manager in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the hospitality industry. Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless hiring experience. Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, such as training programs, team-building activities, and recognition schemes to foster a positive workplace culture. Manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll-related documentation, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions, while promoting a fair and inclusive work environment. Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and organize development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. Monitor HR metrics and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and training effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends, labor regulations, and best practices in HR to ensure Accor remains a leader in talent management. Technical Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, preferably within the hospitality industry or a fast-paced service environment. Strong understanding of Canadian labor laws, employment standards, and HR compliance requirements. Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels. Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Certification in HR (e.g., CPHR, SHRM-CP) is an asset but not required.
