About this role

NEO are seeking an experienced Track Engineering Lead for a Global Consultancy to provide strategic technical leadership across major rail infrastructure programmes. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a rail engineering professional who can drive engineering excellence, manage complex stakeholder environments, and lead multidisciplinary teams delivering large-scale transportation projects. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership and engineering governance across multiple rail and transit projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and deliverable engineering solutions. • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, driving collaboration, integration, and technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle. • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, project stakeholders, and executive leadership on engineering strategy, risk, and programme delivery. • Oversee engineering safety, standards compliance, constructability reviews, and systems integration across complex infrastructure programmes. • Mentor and develop engineering teams while promoting best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement across the business. Requirements • 15+ years of rail engineering experience, including senior leadership roles within major rail, transit, or infrastructure programmes. • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex, multi-stakeholder project environments. • Strong knowledge of engineering assurance, risk management, systems integration, safety, and regulatory compliance. • Proven ability to engage and influence clients, executive leadership teams, and technical governance boards. • Degree qualified in Engineering with professional registration (PEng, ICE, IMechE, or equivalent) or working toward chartered/professional status.
