Our client, a rapidly growing last-mile delivery service, is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Fleet Operations Manager to oversee their fleet operations in Vancouver, British Columbia . This critical role involves managing the daily operations of a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring driver safety, optimizing route efficiency, and maintaining high service levels. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to enhance fleet performance, reduce operational costs, and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the delivery fleet, including driver scheduling, dispatch, and route optimization. Ensure the safety and compliance of all fleet operations, adhering to relevant transportation laws and company policies. Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime. Monitor fleet performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers, fostering a culture of safety and professionalism. Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and control operational costs. Maintain strong relationships with third-party maintenance providers and parts suppliers. Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle location, driver performance, and maintenance records. Investigate and resolve any operational issues or customer complaints related to deliveries. Requirements A minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management, transportation operations, or a related logistics role, with a focus on last-mile delivery. Proven experience in managing a large fleet of vehicles and a team of drivers. In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and fleet maintenance best practices. Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems. Strong understanding of route optimization software and logistics technologies. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Benefits
