Our client is looking for an entry-level Accountant to join a collaborative team in Calgary, Alberta on a long-term contract basis. This role supports accounts payable and treasury functions, with a focus on invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and vendors while supporting day-to-day accounting operations.Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices by reviewing documentation, coding transactions, and entering invoices into the ERP system.Monitor the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries.Process a variety of invoice types while ensuring accuracy and supporting documentation.Complete daily and periodic bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.Reconcile incoming payments, cash deposits, and cheque activity.Support cheque handling, deposits, and treasury administration.Assist with cash controls, safe management, and user access administration.Support process improvement initiatives related to accounts payable and payment workflows.Collaborate with the accounting team while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties.
