About the Role Our client, a distinguished engineering consultancy in Columbus, Ohio , is seeking a proactive Civil Project Manager with expertise in Water Resources. This role is integral to managing and delivering complex water infrastructure projects, including stormwater management, water supply systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of hydraulic principles, and a proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and execution of water resources projects, including municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery. Oversee multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians. Develop detailed project proposals, cost estimates, and technical specifications. Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments. Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and permitting requirements. Prepare and present project reports, findings, and recommendations to clients and management. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of the water resources division. Mentor junior engineers and staff, fostering technical expertise and project management skills. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on water resources projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Ohio is required. Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing budgets, schedules, and teams. Proficiency in relevant hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) and AutoCAD. Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, distribution systems, and stormwater management techniques. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience in public sector consulting and client relationship management. Ability to lead and motivate project teams effectively. Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
