About this role

OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer with a strong background in enterprise web applications, digital platforms, and user-centered design to support the modernization and enhancement of onboarding experiences within Corporate & Commercial Banking. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners — including business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders — to design intuitive, scalable, and accessible digital experiences across multiple banking applications. This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about improving user experiences, evolving legacy systems, and delivering visually consistent and effective interfaces in a fast-paced Agile environment. Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Mondays & Tuesdays in office) Contract Length: 12 Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible) Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST Pay: T4 $: 46.5 // IC: $53 RESPONSIBILITIES • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma. • Design and enhance user experiences across a variety of web-based banking applications. • Collaborate closely with business analysts, business users, developers, and stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle. • Work within established design systems while contributing to visual consistency, scalability, and usability improvements. • Produce detailed design documentation, specifications, and developer handoff assets to support implementation. • Advocate for accessibility, usability, and user-centered design best practices across all initiatives. • Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical limitations to deliver practical and effective design solutions. • Support Agile delivery teams by participating in design discussions, sprint activities, and iterative feedback sessions. • Assist with business analysis responsibilities during periods of lower design workload. • Contribute to the modernization of legacy onboarding platforms and digital banking experiences. QUALIFICATIONS • 1–3 years of progressive UX/UI design experience, preferably supporting enterprise or complex web-based applications. • Proven experience designing intuitive and responsive interfaces using Figma. • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, interaction design, accessibility standards, and responsive design methodologies. • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visual designs. • Strong visual design capabilities with a keen attention to detail, consistency, and usability. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills working within cross-functional Agile teams. • Ability to clearly communicate design rationale and incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively. • Experience preparing developer-ready documentation and design handoff assets. • Portfolio showcasing UX/UI projects, design thinking, and problem-solving approaches. Preferred • Experience working in financial services, banking, or other enterprise environments. • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and collaborative product teams. • Understanding of enterprise design systems and scalable component libraries. • Ability to support both UX/UI design and light business analysis activities. • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design standards. EDUCATION • Post-secondary degree or diploma in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Media, or related discipline.
