THE ROLE:Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Accountant to join their finance team. In this contract role, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of a portfolio of up to three business units, ensuring accurate reporting, timely reconciliations, and effective communication with operational stakeholders. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering with multiple teams to drive financial accuracy and process improvements.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full-cycle accounting function for up to three business unitsReview and monitor accounts receivable aging and investigate outstanding balancesPrepare month-end account reconciliations and supporting schedulesAnalyze monthly profit and loss results and collaborate with leadership on financial performanceReview balance sheet subledgers and identify potential risks, discrepancies, or aged balancesPartner with shared services teams, including accounts receivable, payroll, and operational support staff, to resolve accounting issuesProcess payroll calculations and prepare payroll summariesPerform daily bank reconciliations and support various banking activitiesContribute to process improvements and enhance financial controls where requiredABOUT YOU:You are a proactive accounting professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys building strong working relationships across the organization.
