This role features compliance management, month-end activities, and financial reporting. As a Junior Accountant in our Vancouver office, you will report to the Financial Controller and play a vital role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
You'll manage month-end close activities, support budgeting, and assist with audits, tax filings, and financial analysis, while driving process improvements across teams. Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal procedures
• Manage month-end close activities and audit support
• Generate and post journal entries accurately
• Conduct variance analysis for business performance
• Prepare and file Statistics Canada reports Requirements:
• Degree in accounting or related field required
• Two+ years in an accounting role preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
• Proficiency in Excel needed
