About this role

SUMMARY: Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Advisor, Human Resources based at our Vancouver Refinery. This position plays a key role within the refinery by acting as business partner for the local team, by supporting employee engagement and building strong working relationships across the organization. This position is responsible for the effective administration and ongoing improvement of HR policies, procedures, and programs, while providing practical guidance to both management and employees. The position also supports employee engagement initiatives, contributes to recruitment and onboarding activities, and collaborates across all levels of the refinery to foster a productive and engaged work environment. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL: • Provide positive influential approach, guidance, and expertise on the full scope of Human Resources function; • Handle the union correspondence and collective agreement matters with a balanced perspective of the interest of the company and its employees; • Manage full cycle of the recruitment process of salaried and hourly employees in various departments of the Company; • Support the administration and day-to-day application of the Collective Agreement, ensuring compliance and assisting managers with interpretation; • Collaborate and work proactively with the Management team on a wide range of human resources issues including: employee relations, employee retention and engagement, conflict resolution, performance management, training and development, and policies and procedures; • Coach and advise management and team members through complex employee/labour relations issues and procedural inquiries; • Support the Disability Management Program in collaboration with the Corporate Nurse and Health & Safety Manager; • Collaborate with Lantic's HR team on new initiatives and leverage team expertise; • Ensure compliance of Employment Law and Human Rights Legislation and actively participate in necessary committees. WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM: • Bachelor's in Human Resources Management; • CPHR designation is considered an asset; • Minimum five (5) to eight (8) years of professional human resources experience; • A combination of education and experience may be considered; • Exceptional people skills and a passion for working with people; • Experience working with a unionized workforce and labour relations experience; • Ability to demonstrate positive and strong leadership skills in living and promoting Lantic's Mission and Values; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; • Team player with a high sense of responsibility; • Ability to focus on employee development and performance management of employees; • Result and detail oriented; • Experience with HR management systems is considered an asset.
