About this role
Our Downtown Vancouver-based client is seeking a Finance Project Manager on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be part of the Finance Transformation team where you will be responsible for:
• Undertaking project management of existing projects under the CFO's umbrella – quarter-end close project, adjacent ERP projects (e.g. implementation of lease management tool and Blackline tool)
• Managing various project streams – consolidations process and intercompany eliminations and other business processes
• Managing other project sub-streams including Australian payroll, banking interface, procurement improvement, standardized reporting, etc.
• Assisting with SOX project and review of existing operational business processes
To be considered for this engagement, you are an experienced Finance Project Manager with a track record of supporting multiple ERP implementation projects and/or Business Process Improvement initiatives. You possess strong communication skills and are comfortable acting as a point of contact for various internal and external stakeholders.
The following skills are also desired:
• Designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience
• PMP certification will be an asset
• Extensive project management experience in finance
• Excellent knowledge in accounting software and ERP systems along with ERP systems implementation experience and experience undertaking finance transformation projects
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including consolidations, financial statements, General Ledger functions, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Experience working in a public company/SOX environment
