Reporting to the Executive Director, you will play a key role in driving the future of the organization, collaborating closely with national committees and the Board of Governors to advance opportunities for Air Cadets, enable initiatives and support critical projects to make the ACL’s Strategic Plan come to life.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Collaborating with assigned committees to support delivery of projects, goals and initiatives through research, innovation and the application of best practices
• Finding, recommending and submitting grant applications to support Air Cadet programs and initiatives
• Identifying and facilitating opportunities for synergy between the ACL and partner organizations
• Developing, maintaining and reporting on consolidated project schedules for the ACL
• Preparing high quality informational briefs and recommendations to support decision making
• Monitoring emerging trends and identifying funding opportunities to support the ACL’s priorities
You have:
• Demonstrated experience in strategy development and government relations in the not for profit sector
• Proven experience in stakeholder outreach and project execution
• Strong research, data gathering and analytical skills
• Experience in developing policy recommendations
• Experience developing and delivering training, workshops, and events
• Proficiency with communication and collaboration tools to engage internal and external stakeholders
• A relevant Post secondary degree (eg: Business, Political Science, Communications)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience writing formal reports
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English and preferably also in French
• Strong people skills, sound judgement and the ability to professionally navigate complex situations
