About this role
We’re looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager (Financial Services) to join our team. The role defines how financial services products win at Lightspeed: owning positioning, go‑to‑market strategy and leveraging data and AI to scale growth.
We are a team of 5 people based remotely in North America, responsible for building scalable growth systems that drive adoption and revenue for Lightspeed Financial Services products through lifecycle marketing.
Responsibilities
• Define positioning and messaging for Lightspeed Financial Services products, grounded in deep customer, market and competitive insights.
• Own end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for major product and feature launches, from strategy through execution and performance measurement.
• Partner closely with Product, Data, Sales and Marketing to align on strategy, influence roadmaps and drive successful launches.
• Leverage data and analytics to identify growth opportunities across the funnel and inform GTM strategy and optimization.
• Design and implement AI‑driven approaches to improve research, segmentation, messaging and go‑to‑market execution.
• Lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that span multiple teams and regions, driving alignment and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Act as the voice of the customer—bringing insights into the organization to shape product, positioning and growth strategy.
• Mentor and elevate product marketing craft across the team through thought leadership and best practices.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of product marketing experience or related roles, with increasing scope and ownership.
• Industry experience in financial services, fintech, payments or related sectors (required).
• Experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Track record of owning business outcomes—not just deliverables—in a growth‑stage or scaled technology company.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into explicit, compelling narratives.
• Highly data‑driven with strong analytical capabilities and experience synthesizing insights from customer research, performance metrics and market dynamics.
• Experience using data tools such as SQL, Looker or similar to inform strategy and measure impact.
• Experience applying AI tools or techniques to enhance go‑to‑market strategy, research or execution.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and translate insights into durable product and GTM strategy.
• Capacity to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, set direction and drive clarity across teams.
Benefits
• Flexible work environment that empowers you to do your best work.
• Culture that celebrates performance.
• Opportunity to make an impact in a lean, growth‑oriented team where your voice is heard.
• Career‑defining opportunities.
• Flexible paid time off and work‑from‑home policies.
• Equity options.
• Contributions to your pension plan.
• Training opportunities to grow your skills and career.
• Health and wellness credit.
• Time off to volunteer and give back to your community.
• Interest groups, employee‑led networks and social committees.
• Computer purchase program for a personal Macbook.
• Enhanced parental leave to support growing families.
• Other benefits designed to keep you happy, healthy and fulfilled.
