Lead the UI/UX design team at atVenu in Calgary, influencing the design of live event experiences. This hands-on managerial role empowers you to shape user experiences in a dynamic environment. As the Design Manager, you will guide a team focused on full-cycle UI/UX processes, working closely with Product Management and Creative Design.
Your leadership will promote a strong design practice and user-centric approaches, ensuring effective solutions for our clients. This role requires strategic thinking, a design-oriented mindset, and the ability to mentor your team. Key Responsibilities:
• Build and oversee the UI/UX practice aligning with business goals
• Lead and mentor UI/UX designers through iterative processes
• Establish metrics for user research and product design decisions
• Advocate for consistent design systems across products
• Conduct site visits to observe user experience in real events
Requirements:
• 8+ years in UI/UX design, including 2+ years managing teams
• SaaS experience is a plus
• Proficient with wireframing tools like Figma
• Understanding of web and app technologies
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
