Project Manager with customer facing product launches experience

We are looking to hire Project Manager in Calgary, AB, who is responsible to help to build and lead high performing teams and grow strong relationships with Business and Vendor Partners. Accountabilities :• Work in conjunction with Application Managers, Portfolio Management, Project Managers and other resources across multiple business units and functional departments to develop and deploy state of the art technology solutions to address business strategies and new product and service offering s• Build, manage and maintain a team of cross functional domain experts and vendor partners to support project deliver y• Define the project vision and project success criteria to guide and motivate all project stakeholder s• Ensure the project has well defined, accurate, up to date and visible work plans, measurable major milestones, risk registers with mitigation plans, and other key project artifact s• Ensure quality is incorporated into all project and product deliverables, including the final solutio n• Clearly articulate and manage any changes using the Change Management processes during the project to Program Management, Executive Sponsors, and Operating and Steering Committee s• Manage the project budget and provide accurate forecasting with timely identification of variances, utilize financial change management processes to obtain funding overall and against variance s• Perform quality progress reporting for the project to all levels of project stakeholders – team, Program, Executive Sponsors, Operating and Steering Committee s• Conduct agile ceremonies, including scrums, sprint planning and retrospectives continuously through the project and incorporate learnings to improve delivery effectivenes s• Manage relationships with third party system integrators and vendors assisting with delivery and support for enterprise systems and associated services .• Create and execute project communication plans to ensure all stakeholders and project resources are aligned to program and project level goals and objective s• Ensure projects employ project management best practices, tools and disciplines, in alignment with client's Project Delivery Framework and governance, risk and compliance requirement s• Proactively, identify, address, and resolve issues/problems as or before they occu r• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, contractors and vendor partners, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned wor k Required Skills, Experience and Qualification s:• A university degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibiliti es• Minimum 10 years project experience with medium to large projec ts• Strong Project Management skills in leading all aspects of project delivery across the project lifecyc le• Able to effectively manage concurrent multiple projects of medium size and complexi ty• Experience implementing solutions in complex technology ecosystem environments requiring complex and multiple integration poin ts• Direct project Management Experience leading customer facing product launche s.• Proven experience managing vendor partners, third party solution implementations and contractor resourci ng• Able to adapt agile project management and other methodology best practices to effectively deliver on time constrained projec ts• Proven skills in accurate budget and resource allocation management and forecasti ng• Proven ability to motivate and maintain project momentum in a dynamic environme nt• Demonstrates strong team skills, especially working in cross-functional tea ms• Demonstrates solid critical thinking and problem-solving skil ls• Demonstrates expert ability to identify issues and make difficult decisions (escalating where require d)• Demonstrates strong ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships - gaining trust and respe ct• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple interests and agendas (Vendors, Business, IT, Engineering, etc .)• Demonstrates expert abilities in risk and issue management (includes identification, mitigation and resolutio n)• Proven communication (reading, writing, listening, speaking, and presentation and facilitation) skil ls• Proven ability to work within a team environment utilizing leadership, strong negotiation, conflict management, and delegation skil ls• Proven ability to adapt to a variety of situatio ns• A positive, “can do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sinceri ty• Technology, software development, digital and/or telecommunications experience an ass et• Experience in managing programs/projects in the Wireless sector and/or understanding of Wireless Carrier networks and operations considered an ass et• PMP and other certifications from Project Management Institute (PMI) are an asse t.
