Manager, Human Resources & Communications
Temporary Full-Time Contract (6 Months)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Human Resources & Communications to join our team for a six-month contract. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the organization's human resources and communications functions while supporting our strategic objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will oversee key HR programs, recruitment and onboarding activities, employee relations, and corporate communications. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources and Communications Department.
· Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies, programs, and best practices.
· Coordinate compensation and wage administration activities, including market reviews and annual salary assessments.
· Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, pre-employment screening, reasonable cause and pre-access testing, and hiring.
· Coordinate and enhance employee onboarding and orientation programs.
· Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, performance management, and progressive discipline.
· Ensure compliance with applicable employment standards, privacy legislation, and human rights legislation.
· Oversee payroll and employee benefits administration in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
· Lead the development and distribution of internal and external corporate communications.
· Prepare executive communications, company announcements, employee memos, and monthly newsletters.
· Manage website and intranet content and support ongoing content creation initiatives.
· Collaborate with leadership to develop HR and communication strategies that align with the organization's goals.
Qualifications
· Minimum of six (6) years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in an industrial, construction, energy, or project-based environment.
· Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A CPHR designation, or progress toward obtaining one, is considered an asset.
· Strong knowledge of employment standards, human rights, and privacy legislation.
· Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, compensation administration, benefits administration and organizational communications.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
