Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of a large and diverse vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and performance. Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet growth, maintenance, and technology integration. Manage a team of fleet managers, supervisors, dispatchers, and drivers, fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Establish and enforce rigorous safety protocols and driver training programs to minimize accidents and ensure compliance. Monitor fleet maintenance schedules, ensuring vehicles are serviced regularly and kept in optimal condition. Analyze operational data, KPIs, and financial reports to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal transportation laws and regulations. Manage vendor relationships, including those for vehicle acquisition, maintenance, fuel, and insurance. Implement and leverage technology solutions for route optimization, real-time tracking, and performance monitoring. Respond to and manage emergency situations or critical incidents related to fleet operations. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in fleet management, with a significant portion in a senior leadership role overseeing large fleets (100+ vehicles). Demonstrated expertise in transportation logistics, maintenance, safety regulations, and operational management. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop large teams. Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis for fleet operations. Proficiency in fleet management software, telematics, and route optimization tools. In-depth knowledge of **Toronto, Ontario** and surrounding area transportation networks and regulations. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
