Valard Construction is seeking Electricians (Journeyperson or Apprentice) to join their Substation group in Calgary, Alberta. These roles involve hands-on work at various project sites, building and upgrading high-voltage electrical facilities for distribution networks and renewable energy projects. What You’ll Need
• Journeyperson Electrician certification OR Registered Apprentice Electrician
• Previous experience in the utility construction industry considered an asset
• Knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, and quality control
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and understanding of SCADA systems
• Comprehension of EB&G Principles and lock out / tag out procedures
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel and accommodate multiple shift rotations
What Will Make You Stand Out
• Expertise in medium and high voltage electrical systems, particularly in construction settings and cable terminations
• Experience in medium-to-high-voltage substation construction
