About this role

We are currently recruiting Bookkeepers to support our clients across the Tri-Cities region, including Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. Successful candidates will join our casual/contract bookkeeping pool, providing short-term coverage and support as needed. Requirements • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience • Intermediate proficiency in MS Suite, Sage and/or QuickBooks • Strong and accurate data entry skills • eSkills assessment required (evaluates MS Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency, and typing speed) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with clients • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team • Flexible availability, including the ability to work on short notice and adapt to different workplaces Key Responsibilities • Perform full-cycle or partial bookkeeping as required (AR, AP, GL) • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan statements • Prepare and post journal entries • Assist with month-end or year-end close • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records • Prepare basic financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements) • Handle GST/PST filings and source deductions as required • Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations • Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls • Collaborate with internal teams or external accountants • Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information • Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced or transition environment • Provide temporary coverage during staff absences, audits, or peak periods What’s In It for You • Full-time and part-time contract/temporary opportunities • Assignments range from 1 day up to 1–2 weeks • Monday to Friday, daytime hours • Work close to home within the Tri-Cities area • Competitive pay: $22–$25 per hour Additional Information • This position is open to all qualified applicants who are legally entitled to work in British Columbia. • Only electronic applications will be accepted. • The posting will remain open until a competitive candidate pool has been identified.
