Vice President of Engineering - Data Centers

Vice President, Engineering – Data Center Projects Overview Our client is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering strategy and execution of major data center projects. This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader with a strong background in mission-critical facilities, complex infrastructure, and high-performance project delivery. The ideal candidate comes from a consulting engineering environment and has experience leading multidisciplinary teams across design, planning, technical reviews, client management, and project execution. Key Responsibilities • Lead engineering strategy and technical direction for data center projects • Oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil disciplines • Manage design reviews, technical standards, project planning, and engineering deliverables • Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal leadership • Support project execution from early design through construction and commissioning • Identify technical risks, resolve design challenges, and ensure engineering excellence • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams Qualifications • Senior engineering leadership experience within consulting engineering, mission-critical, or infrastructure projects • Strong experience with data center, critical facilities, or complex technical building projects • Background working for a consulting engineering firm is strongly preferred • Strong understanding of design coordination, technical standards, constructability, and project delivery • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships • P.Eng. designation is considered a strong asset Why Apply This is a strong opportunity for a senior engineering leader to take ownership of high-profile data center projects and play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, technical delivery, and long-term project success.
