About this role

UX Designer / Lead UX Designer Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension or conversion Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite, Toronto) We are seeking experienced UX Design professionals to support the delivery of innovative digital experiences within a large enterprise environment. Successful candidates will combine strong user-centered design expertise with exceptional collaboration, storytelling, and problem-solving capabilities to create intuitive and engaging customer experiences. Responsibilities: • Transform complex business and customer challenges into intuitive, user-centered experiences. • Lead ideation, concept development, and experience innovation initiatives. • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, sketches, storyboards, and design specifications. • Partner closely with product, business, and technology teams to ensure design intent is achieved throughout delivery. • Advocate for users throughout the product lifecycle and champion customer-centric design practices. • Participate in customer research activities including usability testing, observational studies, and feedback sessions. • Present design concepts, approaches, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams. • Contribute to the evolution of design methodologies, standards, and best practices. • Design dashboards, workflows, and experiences that simplify complex information and support user decision-making. • Translate data and insights into meaningful, visually compelling experiences. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, or Experience Design roles. • Experience designing complex digital products, workflows, or customer journeys. • Strong expertise in User-Centered Design (UCD) methodologies and design thinking practices. • Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern design and prototyping tools. • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, storyboards, sketches, and design specifications. • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process and problem-solving capabilities. • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale to diverse audiences. • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail. • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including product, business, and engineering partners. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience leading design initiatives, mentoring designers, or influencing design strategy. • Financial services or banking industry experience. • Experience designing dashboards, analytics experiences, or data visualization solutions. • Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and workflows. • Exposure to customer research, usability testing, and experience measurement practices. • Understanding of responsive web and mobile technologies. Ideal Candidate Profiles: • UX Designer: 5–7 years of UX design experience with strong execution, prototyping, and collaboration skills. • Lead UX Designer: 7–10+ years of experience with additional expertise leading initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and shaping design direction across teams and programs.
