About the Sales Manager Role Reporting to the Sales Director | Alberta/Saskatchewan, the Sales Manager will lead a Team of Territory Managers in the Alberta region. The role will have accountability for the Development of Team Members, Expansion of PMA Brands in Outlets & and Delivery of Business Objectives. Key Deliverables • Actionable Individual Development Plans for Direct Reports • Annual Depletions (Stock Movement from W/H into Outlet) vs Target by Brand Expression for the Business Unit • Minimum Execution Standard (MES) Outcomes vs Target by Brand Expression & Banner for the Business Unit • Shopper Conversion Driver (SCD) Outcomes vs Target by Brand Expression & Banner for the Business Unit • Bi Weekly Business Performance Review Sessions with Field Sales Director • Weekly 1:1 MES | SCD Status vs Target Review Sessions with Alberta Territory Managers • Weekly Team Business Performance | MES | SCD Status Review Meeting with Territory Managers • Monthly Scorecard on Business Unit Key Business Metrics & Competitive Gaming Report by Banner • 2 Weekly In Market Coaching & Development Days with Alberta Territory Managers • Investment Control within Budget by Brand Expression & Banner Behavioural Competency Requirements • Accountability • Customer Centricity • Transparency • Inspection of Expected Results • Ownership of the Business • No Blame Fixing Management Competency Requirements • Outcome Orientation • Business Performance Management & Reporting • Interpersonal Effectiveness • Workflow Management • Financial Acumen • Judgement & Decision Making • Rapid Capability Building • Strategic Thinking & Awareness Functional Competencies Requirements • High Performance Coaching • Commercial Plan Implementation & Course Correction • Effective 'Level to Level' Customer Relationships in Support of Direct Reports • Commercial Acumen • Persuasive Selling • Negotiation & Influencing Knowledge Competency Requirements • RTC | The PMA Way of Selling • Provincial Beverage Alcohol Regulatory Standards • Canadian Beverage Alcohol Industry Rival Ways of Working • Effective Working Knowledge of Sales Force Automation Tools • Effective Working Knowledge of MS Power Point & MS Excel • ProServe Certified • WSET Certified Experience & Other Requirements • Minimum 8 Years Sales Experience in the Retail Sales Channel (Beverage Alcohol or CPG) • Minimum 4 Years of Beverage Alcohol Sales Experience in Alberta • Well Demonstrated Track Record of Team Building & Sales Leadership • Well Demonstrated Track Record of Managing Stakeholders • Post Secondary Degree in Business • Remote Working Environment based in the Calgary, Alberta Region • Minimum 60% of Time in Field including Ability to Travel Overnight as Required • Valid Driver's License with Fully Insured & Reliable Transportation • Must be Legally Able to Work in Canada • Must be of Legal Drinking Age Physical Demands • Frequent Hand Motion to perform various duties • Occasional Immediate Reaching, Minimal Overhead Reaching to perform various duties • Occasional Standing and Occasional Walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties • Extended Sitting for Long Periods of Time at Desk or Workstation to perform various duties PMA Canada is committed to providing equal opportunity and accessibility in its recruitment process.
