About this role

Description: We are seeking a professional, organized, and people-focused Part-Time HR Manager to support the day-to-day human resources functions of our organization. This role combines remote work with in-office responsibilities and is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment. The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, performance management, compliance, and general HR operations, while fostering a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Administration • Manage employee records, HR documentation, and confidential personnel files • Ensure compliance with employment standards, workplace policies, and company procedures • Assist with updating and implementing HR policies and employee handbooks • Support payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee leave tracking • Track employee vacation balances, sick days, personal days, and other time-off requests • Maintain accurate attendance and leave records Recruitment & Onboarding • Coordinate job postings, resume screening, interviews, and hiring processes • Conduct onboarding and orientation for new employees • Support managers with hiring strategies and workforce planning Employee Relations & Performance Management • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns • Support conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment • Coordinate and conduct annual employee performance reviews • Assist managers with performance improvement plans and employee development initiatives • Support employee engagement and retention efforts Offboarding & Compliance • Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation • Ensure proper collection of company property and removal of system access for departing employees • Maintain compliance with workplace regulations and HR best practices • Support workplace investigations and documentation when required Operational Support • Partner with management on HR planning and organizational initiatives • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate internal records • Coordinate training, health & safety requirements, and compliance programs • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or management role • Strong knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software • CHRP designation required Position Details • Part-time position (20 hours per week) • Hybrid work model with both remote and in-office responsibilities • Flexible scheduling available • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Ideal Candidate • The ideal candidate is proactive, approachable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
