Software Developer (Terminal Apps) 💰 Salary: $85,000 - 125,000 per year At CPOS INC we are looking for a Mobile engineer! 🛠️ Our tech stack: API, AWS, Lambda, Android, Architect, Backend, CI/CD, CTO, Dart, Flutter, Hardware, LESS, Mobile, REST, Security, Serverless, UX UI Design, NodeJS, Cloud 📝 Rquirements: - We bring 4+ years of experience building production mobile or terminal applications. - We have strong hands-on expertise with Flutter and Dart, and we have shipped production apps to real devices. - We have practical experience integrating payment hardware and vendor payment SDKs/APIs, ideally with Poynt and/or Clover Android-based smart terminals. - We understand app store and distribution workflows for payment terminals, including submission, review, and release management for the Poynt App Store and Clover App Market. - We are proficient with AWS, ideally Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, or comparable serverless services for backend integration. - We have a solid grasp of application architecture, state management, performance optimization, and API interaction. - We can own technical decisions, document them clearly, and communicate trade-offs effectively. - We communicate crisply, share progress early, and escalate blockers clearly when needed. - Nice to have: experience with mobile or terminal CI/CD pipelines, OTA updates, app store release automation, or native Android module bridging from Flutter. - Nice to have: familiarity with the Android platform underlying Poynt and Clover devices. - Nice to have: background in fintech, payments, or regulated environments such as PCI-DSS, EMV, or tokenization. - Nice to have: prior experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams. - Nice to have: contributions to component libraries, tooling, or shared modules used across multiple teams. - Nice to have: knowledge of distributed systems, real-time updates, or offline-first patterns for intermittently connected terminals. 👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are: - We own and enhance complex on-terminal experiences using Flutter for Poynt and Clover smart terminals. - We architect scalable integrations with vendor payment APIs, including Poynt SDK / Poynt OS and Clover Android SDK / REST APIs, covering payments, refunds, tipping, receipts, and transaction lifecycle events. - We build, package, and release apps through terminal distribution stores, managing submissions, review requirements, and versioning across the Poynt App Store and Clover App Market. - We integrate terminal apps with our AWS serverless backend for synchronization, reporting, and remote configuration. - We work directly with Product to turn problem statements into practical solutions while identifying edge cases, constraints, and technical risks early. - We lead technical design discussions, make architectural decisions, and document them clearly. - We proactively identify blockers, propose alternatives, and keep work moving without waiting to be unblocked. - We debug and resolve challenging technical issues across terminal hardware, payment SDKs, and backend boundaries. - We mentor less experienced developers through code reviews, pairing, and structured guidance. - We promote best practices in on-device performance, state management, testing, and payment security, including PCI considerations. - We contribute to internal tooling, shared libraries, and workflows that improve engineering efficiency.
