Overview:
We are seeking a Team Lead (Project Manager Level III) to lead day-to-day project activities for designated delivery streams within a large-scale deployment project. This role will support the overarching Project Manager to ensure delivery of project outcomes on time, within scope, and aligned to the project management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the designated team in the project delivery stream(s) to ensure proper alignment of the team members with the project goals.
• Manage scope, requirements, resources, time, cost, quality, risks, and communications for on-time, on-budget, high-quality project delivery.
• Support the overall project manager and other team leads in fulfilling the project mandate.
• Work with the vendor project manager, vendor technical leads, and internal team leads to remove roadblocks and deliver assigned project outcomes on schedule.
• Track and update the project plan and highlight any deviation to the overarching project manager.
• Facilitate and moderate meetings and produce and circulate the meeting minutes.
• Report status and progress of assigned activities to management on a regular cadence.
• Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to fulfill the project delivery requirements.
• Identify and proactively address issues, communicating suggestions for resolution.
• Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
• Manage all project log registers to keep them up to date and engage the project manager proactively to address critical project risks/issues/action items.
• Deliver project status reports and present updates in formal governance meetings.
• Support Change and Communication Management teams to produce communications, manuals, and training materials.
• Produce and manage project documentation in accordance with agreed templates.
• Follow established project management frameworks, governance approaches, and delivery strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements
M1
The proposed resource must meet or exceed the following education and certification requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
AND
• Current Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 designation, or other industry-recognized project management accreditation.
M2
A minimum of ten (10) years of Project Management experience managing large-scale information technology (IT) projects
M3
Clearly demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-year, digital transformational IT system implementation projects through full project lifecycles
• Minimum 2 multi-year projects within past 10 years
M4
Minimum 3 years of experience delivering IT projects within government or public sector environments
