About the Role Our client, a well-established firm in the heart of Montreal, Quebec , is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Operations Manager . This vital role will oversee the efficient and effective delivery of HR services, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, and compliance. You will be instrumental in streamlining HR processes, ensuring accuracy, and enhancing the employee experience. The ideal candidate possesses strong operational acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of HR best practices. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily HR operations, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS data integrity. Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Lead the HR team, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, claims, and vendor management. Manage the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and security. Develop and maintain reporting capabilities for key HR metrics and analytics. Support recruitment and onboarding processes from an operational perspective. Manage employee records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the HR operations function in Montreal . Requirements Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or benefits administration, with at least 2-3 years in a management role. Proven experience managing HRIS and payroll systems. Strong understanding of Canadian employment law and HR compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage processes, ensure accuracy, and drive efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience with collective bargaining agreements is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Fluency in both English and French is highly desirable for this role in Montreal . Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
