About the position
This is a full-time permanent hybrid opportunity based out of our North York office (243 Consumers Rd) 4 days a week and 1 day a week will be work from home. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Manager to join our commercial finance team and play a key role in driving revenue and margin financial planning and analysis. Reporting into the Senior Director, Commercial Finance, the Senior Finance Manager will play a key role in a dynamic and committed team where everyone’s contribution has a direct impact on the success of LHG.
Responsibilities
• Lead the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis of revenue and pricing.
• Partner with the SVPs of Sales, Operations, and other key leaders on pricing strategies, including price optimization, competitive pricing analysis, margin impact assessments, and contract effectiveness.
• Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Analyze sales performance, product mix, customer trends, and margin drivers to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization.
• Build financial models to support negotiations on key contracts and expansions.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on business performance, pricing actions, and investment opportunities.
• Lead variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results, clearly identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Partner with data analytics and business intelligence teams to enhance reporting, dashboards, and decision-support tools.
• Drive process improvements in forecasting, reporting, and financial governance.
• Coordinate with business teams to ensure initiatives are tracked and accurately incorporated into plans and forecasts.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance, including experience with pricing, revenue and margin financial planning and analysis and financial reporting
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• A hands-on individual, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• High attention to detail combined with the ability to think strategically and drive process improvements.
• Ability to manage ambiguity in a fast-paced, growth-oriented or acquisition-driven environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data manipulation.
• SQL knowledge will be helpful.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Sage, Vena, and Power BI is an asset.
