Our team is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Pipelines Business line in our Denver, Calgary, Toronto or Vancouver office.
About The Role
• Provide technical leadership and direction for the design and development of equipment and mechanical systems.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and designers.
• Act as mechanical technical lead for projects.
• Assign tasks to team members to execute mechanical scope of projects.
• Track tasks and workload of team members.
• Understand client requirements and justify design decisions effectively.
• Prepare written reports, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Guide intermediate engineers and designers in the production of project design drawings.
• Prepare, coordinate and review deliverables in a variety of project related tasks.
• Actively participate in multi-discipline teams consisting of engineers, designers and other specialists.
• Take initiative in developing projects and contribute to the team.
About You
• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or similar Engineering field.
• 15+ years engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, leading Mechanical project teams.
• Previous experience working in an engineering consulting firm, production facility, or similar environment.
• Experience with service equipment including pumps, valves, and agitators.
• Familiarity with project engineering execution.
• Experience in software such as Excel, engineering calculation and modeling programs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Valuable organization skills, attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
• Proven team player committed to support the requirements of project groups.
• Ability to work in the office or a hybrid 3 office days and 2 home days format.
• Willingness to travel (10 to 20%).
