Career Posting – Director of Marketing and Client Services, Arts Academy
Avenue Road Music and Performance Academy, home of the Gordon Lightfoot Concert Hall, seeks a Director of Marketing and Client Services to lead the flourishing Academy to greater heights. A registered charity, the Academy is located in a historic mansion at 460 Avenue Road in mid-town Toronto. The opportunity will appeal to a talented and enterprising professional in the performing arts community, with ambition for career growth, and with experience in management, marketing, fund-raising, website design and social media.
Responsibilities
Building the revenue base of the Academy, with creative, effective outreach marketing programs
Promoting the Academy's services and programs to its target communities through traditional and social media
Recommending and designing programs that address customer and student needs and interests
Collaborating with the Director of Fundraising and Community Programs, to maintain donor satisfaction and confidence
Relationship management with parents, students, volunteers, Board members and donors
P&L responsibility
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
University degree or equivalent
Program and staff management experience
Teaching experience in the arts
Business or sales management training and track record
Must have facility with MS Office, MyMusic Staff or similar school management software, and budgeting/bookkeeping software
Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, collegial, enterprising, and in possession of a good sense of humour.
Required: commuting distance within 10 km of the School
Required: permanent residence status or Canadian citizenship
Time commitment, Salary and Benefits
Time commitment is 20 onsite hours/week, with some weekend time, traded off against free weekday time
Hourly starting salary equivalent to annualized full-time salary of $57,000 to $65,000; bonus available consistent with growth

Pay: $28.50-$32.50 per hour
