About this role

As a Business Technology Analyst, you will provide project management, software implementation and business analysis to the City Clerk's Office business unit and act as a bridge between the business and technical teams within The City. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of business processes and workflows, working with technology partners to implement, or support the implementation of technology solutions within the City Clerk's Office. To be successful in this position, you should have a strong business analysis background with a focus on the business-side of technology implementations. Primary duties include: • Provide project management leadership, support, and guidance to the business unit. • Develop or assist with detailed project plans with project partners and provide updates on project progress. • Develop, implement, and manage project communications plans, risk identification, and mitigation strategies. • Develop and/or maintain process and procedure guidelines, or other business unit information to facilitate implementation and adoption of system changes and to standardize business unit practices. • Assist with the development of training material and training delivery to a variety of audiences throughout the Corporation. • Facilitate the development of business requirement analysis. Coordinate with IT to develop functional requirements, technical specifications, and high-level designs. • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners. Qualifications • A degree in Business Technology Management, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field. • At least 4 years of experience in technology project management or coordination, business analysis including business process development, and vendor management/vendor communication or related experience. • A project management certificate or certification would be considered an asset. • Success in this position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, the ability to build partnerships, facilitate change, a high attention to detail and stress tolerance. Workstyle • This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.
