About this role
Alderwood Electric Inc. is looking for a licensed 309A electrician to join our growing team in a full-time, permanent position.
We are a family-owned electrical contracting company based in Stouffville, Ontario. Our work includes a mix of residential and commercial projects throughout York Region and the surrounding area. We are looking for someone dependable, professional and capable of completing quality work while representing our company well on every job site.
Responsibilities
• Perform residential and commercial electrical installations, service work and troubleshooting
• Complete renovations, panel upgrades, lighting installations, pool and hot tub wiring, EV charger installations and other electrical projects
• Read and interpret drawings, plans and electrical specifications
• Diagnose electrical problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Complete work safely and in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors and other team members
• Maintain clean, organized and safe job sites
• Accurately document completed work and required materials
• Help guide and supervise apprentices when required
Qualifications
• Valid Ontario 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician licence
• Experience completing residential and commercial electrical work
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Thorough understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Dependable, punctual and able to work independently
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Able to safely perform the physical requirements of electrical construction work

Schedule
• Monday to Friday
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Occasional overtime may be available
• Work is completed throughout Stouffville, York Region and surrounding areas
