Valard Construction is hiring Apprentice Electricians in Calgary and Edmonton, AB. Get hands-on experience in high-voltage electrical systems and support our substation construction efforts. This position requires individuals willing to travel for diverse projects across Alberta.
You will assist Journeypersons with installations and maintenance of high-voltage systems. With opportunities for training and development, this role is perfect for those eager to grow their skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation of transformers and circuit breakers
• Support cable trench and bus installations
• Conduct high-voltage terminations and check grounding
• Participate in interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Report safety concerns to the Site Supervisor Requirements:
• Registered Apprentice Electrician status
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and construction standards
• Ability to read electrical blueprints
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record
