About this role
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot, Kafka, and API development
• Proven experience designing and building databases from the ground up to support new APIs
• Hands-on experience working within Azure cloud environments
• Solid understanding of how APIs integrate with mainframe systems
• Prior experience within the banking or financial services industry (preferably Big 5 banks)
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Datadog
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tool
Nice-to-Have
• Experience in e-commerce or retail platforms
• Exposure to shopping/cart/checkout systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Frontend familiarity (React, Angular) is a plus

Pay Rate: $65-80/hr
Engagement Type: 2 year contract
On-Site: Hybrid - 2 days onsite. 3 days remote (Anchor days: Monday and Thursday)
