As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to clients facing substance use challenges. You'll conduct assessments, develop tailored care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimum support for clients. Your role also includes delivering health education, emergency response, and crisis counseling when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and provide direct nursing care aligned with standards
• Conduct physical and psychosocial assessments for clients
• Manage emergencies like drug overdoses and seizures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on client care
• Teach clients and families about health maintenance strategies
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved Nursing Program
• Current BCCNM registration as RN/RPN
• One year of recent experience in an addictions environment
• Completion of approved addictions training
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License preferred
