About the position
Servier Canada is currently seeking a Finance, Manager who will play a key role within the organization. You will be responsible for tax-related matters, actively contribute to business activity analysis, and support internal clients in monitoring results, preparing forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans. As a true business partner, you will have the opportunity to go well beyond the numbers by working closely with your colleagues and participating in various projects that have a direct impact on Servier Canada’s daily operations and overall performance.
Responsibilities
• Preparation of tax returns, including research and development tax credits, management of tax-related obligations, and maintaining relationships with tax authorities.
• Preparation of various analyses and reports required for all aspects of transfer pricing.
• Recording, calculation, and monitoring of income tax expenses, including the calculation and accounting of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
• Participate in audits (statutory, internal, and tax).
• Contribute to the implementation and application of internal controls, financial group compliance, and financial procedures.
• Provide financial analyses and guidance on business plans, objectives, and key performance drivers.
• Participate in the preparation of the subsidiary’s budgets and assess financial performance against operational objectives, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare cash flow projections.
• Ensure compliance of financial closings and reporting in accordance with group and local GAAP requirements and standards.
• Participate in discussions and negotiations with business partners.
• Take part in contract reviews, ensuring that terms are aligned with the company’s objectives and standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA designation
• More than 7 years of experience in finance or accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite, and ideally experience with SAP.
• Ability to effectively manage tight deadlines and solve problems in a constantly evolving environment.
• Excellent proficiency in English and French (spoken and written)
