Intermediate Cloud Software Engineer

Arobas Personnel is currently seeking an Intermediate Cloud Software Engineer for a mandate with one of its clients located in Stittsville. • Remote : Hybrid* Responsibilities • Develop software components for systems or segments of large, complex applications. • Apply established software engineering standards, tools, technologies, and best practices throughout the development process. Education / Certifications • Intermediate-level profile with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field (Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred). Required Skills and Experience • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience. • Strong experience with C++ development. • Familiarity with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class). • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio within an Azure DevOps environment, including source control. • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Windows-based development environments. • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Excellent English communication skills. Additional Assets (Nice-to-Have Skills) • Experience with C#. • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, XML, XSD, and ASP.NET. • Experience with databases (SQL, SQL Server, Oracle). • Familiarity with Git for source code management. • Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework. • Knowledge of Microsoft Razor and Blazor frameworks. • Experience with PowerShell scripting. • Familiarity with Bootstrap. • Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). • Experience working in Agile development environments. • Knowledge of Windows-based servers running in virtualized environments. • Understanding of networking concepts such as Internet protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and communication programming. • Experience working in secure development environments. • Proficiency in French. • Experience in public safety or related sectors.
