tenant improvements, interior fit-ups, renovations, occupied-space construction
and occasional new build projects for a variety of private and public-sector
clients.

Your new role
As Project
Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and
delivery of multiple construction projects. You will work
closely with site teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure
projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget. Projects
typically range from $500K to $5M, although larger projects in the $10M-$30M
range are also part of the portfolio.
There is a travel component to this job where you will be required to be out of town for 3-4 days at a time occasionally.
Responsibilities
• Manage commercial
construction projects from award through completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and procurement plans
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Lead client meetings and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts and change orders
• Monitor project financial performance and forecasting
• Support site teams and maintain regular communication with Superintendents
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and contractual requirements
• Oversee project closeout, commissioning and turnover activities
What you'll need to succeed
• 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction
• Experience managing fit-up, tenant improvement and renovation projects
• Experience working for a General Contractor is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling and cost control
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•
Ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously
•
Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office
•
Security clearance
eligibility or existing clearance would be considered a strong asset
•
Postsecondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline
is preferred
