Essential qualifications In order to be considered, your cover letter must clearly explain how you meet the following education and experience requirements. Education You must have either one of the following: • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with *acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed. or • An * acceptable combination of education (professional certification) in a field related to the position (as above), and relevant experience. *Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply. Experience • For all streams: • Experience providing advice, guidance and recommendations to managers on a variety of HR issues within the applicable Stream. • Experience preparing a variety of written material such as reports, briefing notes, formal correspondence, etc. • For UNI 08 and UNI 09 Positions (PE 04, PE 05 and AS 06) • All of the above plus: • Experience providing advice and guidance on complex HR issues. • Experience mentoring or coaching junior employees or delivering training or presentations. • Experience overseeing working groups or project teams.
