Responsibilities
• Analyze, design, develop, and maintain software solutions for the organization’s products and systems (Aurora Imaging Library, a machine vision SDK).
• Collaborate on system integrations of software and hardware to ensure optimal performance and program consistency.
• Develop, validate, and test structures, user documentation, and software functionality.
• Review work for accuracy and adherence to established processes and guidelines.
• Complete all phases of software engineering design projects, including coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct analysis of processes and systems, delivering results to key stakeholders and recommending potential solutions for software and system improvements.
• Contribute to the development and testing of software solutions for various products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
• Create and maintain documentation for projects, including code, design specifications, and test results.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and software engineering methodologies (C++, C#, Python, Agentic AI tools) and apply them to projects as needed.
• Review and evaluate changes or upgrades to existing designs or test processes.
• Exercise sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for problem solving and solution delivery.
• Explore and implement solutions leveraging AI to enhance development workflows and product capabilities.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced Degree in a relevant field is acceptable.
• 0+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
• Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to communicate in French (verbal and written) and English (written).
• Knowledge of Cambridge English language skills.
Skills & Competencies
• Quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with programming languages (C++, C#, Python) and operating systems.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycles (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
Travel & Telework
Travel required: 5\% of time.
Hybrid work model: required presence in Montréal (QC) at least three days per week.
Pay Range
$67,120.00 - $100,680.00 Annual
Incentive Compensation
Performance‑based annual cash incentive at a target equal to 5% of base pay, in accordance with the applicable incentive plan.
