About the Role
Reporting to the VP Finance and working closely with the CFO, you’ll work in partnership with the Controller and serve as the liaison between Finance, operations, and executive leadership, ensuring high standards for reporting are applied consistently at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
You will be the Lead on all reporting, setting standardized policies and using professional judgment to navigate through complex accounting positions. You’ll worked with talented team of analysts and CPAs, roll up your sleeves when needed, and be the person everyone counts on when the reporting process needs to run like clockwork.
Responsibilities
• Drive the full monthly financial reporting cycle from close to Executive Leadership package, with accuracy and cultivate a rigor for accurate financial numbers.
• Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements and covenant reporting for our banking partners; work with FP&A to flag compliance risks early.
• Own and maintain the Chart of Accounts in real time; ensure every balance sheet and P&L account is tight.
• Identify and implement automation and process improvements that make the team faster and smarter, not just busier.
• Ensure all add on software platforms are fully integrated and reflected properly into the main accounting reporting system.
• Serve as the primary reporting resource for the CFO and VP Finance, surfacing key risks and offering clear recommendations.
• Partner cross-functionally to collect relevant information and build a reporting framework that reflects how the business actually grows.
• Contribute to the Professional Development Program of the Finance Team.
Qualifications
• CPA-CA designation (required).
• Minimum of 6–7 years of financial reporting experience, including 4 years at a Big 4 accounting firm.
Required Skills
• Deep technical accounting skills: you can assess complex issues, including foreign exchange translation, and explain them clearly.
• Experience with ERP/reporting systems and advance Excel skills.
• A track record of managing and synthesizing large-scale data.
• Strong communicator who can bring complex issues to life for Executive Leadership, in writing and in the room.
• A team player with genuine curiosity about how the business works and is willing to investigate issues beyond just the numbers.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance.
