About this role

About the Team The Growth team owns Stripe's product-led growth motion for self-serve customers, primarily startups and SMBs. We acquire, onboard, and grow every business in the world on one or more Stripe products across the full user lifecycle—signup, onboarding, activation, expansion, retention—working at the intersection of product, data science, engineering, design, marketing, and AI/ML. We are directly accountable for topline self‑serve revenue. What You’ll Do • Define and build the AI specialist experience that delivers personalized guidance across the full user journey—from the first question through activation and expansion—using AI at scale. • Create a unified motion that ties together existing product recommendations, onboarding flows, merchant context, and outreach infrastructure. • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI specialist motion. • Launch and scale the inbound motion across chat, voice, and email for prospects and new users seeking help with products, pricing, and getting started. • Drive rapid iteration on answer quality and resolution rates. • Build the triage and qualification layer to assess the user, understand the size and complexity of the opportunity, and route accordingly: guide smaller users through their full journey while qualifying larger prospects and handing them to sales with rich context. • Define escalation paths to the vendor support team and sales team, ensuring seamless handoffs and preserved context with no unresolved user interactions. • Scale past the first interaction into onboarding, cross‑sell, and outbound, helping users activate products, discover current ones, and grow their usage of Stripe. • Leverage Stripe's existing systems rather than building from scratch, including product recommendation, merchant context, onboarding systems, and outreach platform. • Own the revenue generated by the AI specialist motion and define success metrics, maintaining accountability from conversion through expansion, including pipeline generated through AI‑qualified leads. • Partner with engineering, AI/ML, design, data science, marketing, sales, and support to execute at pace while maintaining Stripe's bar for quality and trust. Who You Are You will meet the following minimum requirements or be prepared to discuss how your experience aligns with them. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum Requirements • 5+ years of product management experience, taking products from strategy through to shipped outcomes. • Experience building AI‑powered, conversational, or agentic products. • Understanding of what it takes to ship AI that works reliably for real users, not just in demos. • Track record of owning revenue or business outcomes through product‑led approaches. • Experience with hypothesis‑driven product development and experimentation at scale. • Ability to work across existing systems and synthesize them into a coherent product strategy rather than defaulting to net‑new builds. • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to drive alignment across a broad set of stakeholders. • Ownership mindset. • Proficiency in shipping products that solve problems, not just evaluating them. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with growth problems (acquisition, activation, onboarding) in B2B or B2B2C environments. • Hands‑on familiarity with LLMs, conversational AI, or agentic architectures; having shipped products on top of these technologies. • Experience building across channels (chat, email, voice) with an understanding of the tradeoffs between modalities. • Background in scaling high‑touch human experiences (sales, support, product specialists) through technology. • Comfortable in high‑visibility roles with direct accountability for business outcomes. Office Expectations Office‑assigned Stripe employees in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team, and location. For example, Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Some teams have greater in‑office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in‑person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible. Pay and Benefits The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$151,200–CA$226,800. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the OnTargetEarnings (OTE) range, meaning that it includes both the sales commissions/bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. The salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant's location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits and additional compensation for this role may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends. You do what it takes to solve problems and ship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
