About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to take ownership of the Lead-to-Contract process from start to finish. This role encompasses everything from lead capture and qualification to opportunity management, quoting, contract negotiations, and execution—primarily utilizing Salesforce as our core system. In this position, you will collaborate with diverse teams including Enterprise Engineering, MDM, RevOps, Finance, Legal, and Sales to identify inefficiencies in current processes, define optimal workflows, and implement impactful solutions.
What You Will Do
• Analyze the Lead-to-Contract Process: Map current operations involving Sales, Deal Desk, RevOps, and Legal to identify challenges, workarounds, and data quality issues. Assess friction points and their impact.
• Define Target Workflows: Establish how leads, opportunities, quotes, and contracts should move through the system, including automation opportunities and points requiring human judgment.
• Influence Upstream Decisions: Own critical decisions affecting Lead-to-Contract processes to facilitate seamless integration into Order-to-Cash and other back-office functions.
• Manage the Backlog: Prioritize tasks based on business impact metrics such as cycle time and compliance risk, and communicate tradeoff decisions effectively.
• Collaborate with MDM: Represent Lead-to-Contract requirements during the establishment of enterprise-wide entity definitions.
• Integrate Contract Lifecycle and CRM: Ensure smooth mapping of CLM templates and contract data into Salesforce, supporting all downstream activities.
• Define Requirements and Metrics: Craft clear PRDs and acceptance criteria, and partner with Enterprise Engineering for delivery, ensuring measurement of success.
• Facilitate Adoption: Implement phased rollouts, train users, and gather feedback to drive system adoption and improvements.
• Govern your Domain: Oversee intake and prioritization of change requests, coordinate releases with Enterprise Engineering, and document workflows.
• Communicate Effectively: Manage release notes and updates for stakeholders across departments, proactively addressing risks and obstacles.
What You Need to Succeed
• Experience: 3-6 years in product management or business systems, with an understanding of operational complexities in a company with multiple business lines or post-M&A settings. Salesforce implementation experience is essential.
• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce solutions and insights into the workings of Sales, Deal Desk, RevOps, and Legal.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to navigate conflicts among various priorities while driving collective decision-making.
• Systems Thinking: Understand the broader impact of changes in workflows across multiple business processes.
• Change Management Orientation: Proven ability to lead effective adoption of business systems changes and foster new working approaches.
• Discovery Focused: Excellent at distinguishing between stakeholders' requests and underlying needs through thorough user analysis.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to write clear documentation that drives stakeholder alignment.
• Organizational Skills: Track record of managing backlogs and timelines effectively.
