Job Title: Business Analyst II Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid (4 days/week onsite) Shift Timings: Monday to Friday | Core Business Hours Duration: 12 Months Extension/ Conversion: Possible Training Period: 2–4 Weeks Professional Summary Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Business Analyst II to support Enterprise Compliance initiatives focused on data governance and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team responsible for strengthening enterprise data management practices by supporting data retention and disposition activities, governance processes, and regulatory compliance initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, project coordination, and experience with governance documentation, data analysis, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Support enterprise data governance and data management initiatives. Assist with Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities. Ensure data management activities comply with enterprise policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Perform data analysis and document Data Retention and Disposition requirements. Support the development and maintenance of data management and retention procedures. Identify, inventory, and catalogue enterprise data assets. Execute manual data disposition activities and maintain supporting evidence. Identify, document, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies. Support project timelines and governance-related deliverables. Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to deliver project objectives. Build effective working relationships across multiple business units. Manage multiple priorities while working independently. Must-Have Skills Experience with Data Governance initiatives. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Approximately 2–4 years of Business Analyst experience. Experience supporting governance, change management, and data-focused initiatives. Comfortable working in a collaborative project environment with cross-functional teams. Strong working knowledge of Confluence. Experience supporting projects with Timeline tracking, Risk identification, Project documentation Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Experience performing manual data analysis and reporting activities. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry. Knowledge of Data Management, including: Data controls Regulatory compliance Data governance standards Data regulatory requirements
