This role supports essential accounting tasks, improves processes across Finance, and involves research on finance policies. Take part in developing presentations and financial reports aligned with the city’s mission of equity and inclusion. Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in month-end accounting and reporting
• Enhance accounting processes through documentation
• Conduct research on finance-related best practices
• Help prepare financial reports and training materials
• Assist in executing special projects and initiatives Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED with CPA recognition
• Preferably 2 years post-secondary education in Business or Accounting
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills necessary
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials is an asset
