About this role
Business Development & Marketing Manager — EnerAI
About EnerAI
EnerAI is an AI-powered energy consulting firm helping developers, architects, and property owners achieve superior energy performance. We specialize in energy modelling, compliance reporting, and sustainability consulting — combining cutting-edge AI tools with deep engineering expertise to deliver faster, smarter results for our clients.
We're growing fast and looking for a driven Business Development & Marketing Manager to help us expand our client base and amplify our presence in the market.
The Role
You'll be the face of EnerAI in the market — identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with developers and architects, representing us at industry events, and closing deals. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on connecting with people and turning conversations into long-term client relationships.
What You'll Do
• Prospect & Outreach: Identify and reach out to target clients — real estate developers, architectural firms, general contractors, and property managers — through LinkedIn, email, calls, and networking.
• Event Representation: Attend and present at industry conferences, trade shows, and community events to build EnerAI's brand and generate leads.
• Client Acquisition: Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed contract; present our services clearly and compellingly.
• Marketing Execution: Develop and manage content for LinkedIn and other channels; coordinate campaigns to increase brand awareness and inbound leads.
• Partnership Development: Build referral partnerships with architects, engineers, lenders, and government program administrators.
• CRM & Reporting: Track pipeline activity and report on outreach, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years in business development, sales, or marketing — ideally in construction, real estate, sustainability, or engineering services
• Proven track record of generating leads and closing clients
• Excellent communicator — comfortable presenting to executives and attending networking events
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage your own pipeline
• Familiarity with the Canadian real estate or green building sector is a strong asset
• Knowledge of CMHC MLI Select, energy efficiency programs, or sustainability consulting is a plus (but not required)
What We Offer
• Competitive base salary + performance-based commission
• Flexible hybrid work arrangement
• A fast-growing company where your work directly shapes our success
• Opportunity to build and lead a BD/marketing function from the ground up
• Meaningful work in the clean energy and sustainability space
