About this role
Enhance patient wellbeing as a Registered Nurse with the Akausivik Inuit Family Health Team in Ottawa. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent primary care and cultural support. As a Registered Nurse, you will work alongside physicians, interpreters, and case managers to provide high-quality care to Inuit patients.
Your role focuses on patient triage, health education, and coordination of care with community resources, positively impacting health outcomes. Flexibility and strong clinical skills are essential for success in this full-time role. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive support to patients and families
• Liaise with community resources for patient needs
• Conduct patient education sessions on physical care
• Assist in referrals, tests, and consultations
• Maintain Electronic Medical Records accurately Requirements:
• Two years clinical experience in Primary Care
• Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
• Current membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of Inuit culture and chronic illness care Deliver impactful nursing care within an inter-professional team at AIFHT in Ottawa.
