Role: Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering
Location: Remote - just be located in Greater Toronto Area or Vancouver

Comp: $210-290k base + equity + benefits
A high-growth fintech company is hiring an Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering to lead the reliability and platform function behind a modern digital banking product used by thousands of businesses. Strong growth, strong product, and a genuine leadership seat with impact.
This is a player-coach management role. They need someone who can lead, mentor, and scale a team, while still being technically credible and hands-on when needed.
What You’ll Do
• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing SRE team
• Own uptime, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence across production systems
• Drive incident management, on-call maturity, postmortems, and accountability culture
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Data leaders on reliability strategy
• Guide architecture and infrastructure decisions across AWS / Kubernetes environments
• Improve observability, alerting, automation, and engineering efficiency
• Define and track KPIs across uptime, latency, incidents, MTTR, and platform health
• Hire strong engineers and raise the technical bar across the team
• Stay close enough technically to unblock teams and guide major decisions
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years leading engineering teams
• 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Strong hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• Deep Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and production operations background
• Proven success scaling systems and improving reliability in production environments
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
• Executive presence with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Startup mindset with ability to operate in fast-moving environments
• Fintech, SaaS, or regulated industry experience is a plus
