Join GIP as a Project Accountant in Ottawa, managing finances for the Alexandra Bridge Project over a 15-month contract. Your expertise in cost control and reporting will guide project success. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you play a vital role in financial management and project oversight.
You will monitor costs, support budgeting, and analyze financial data for decisions. By collaborating with project managers and field teams, you ensure compliance and maintain accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze project costs against approved budgets
• Develop budget forecasts and updates for the project
• Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly closes
• Communicate cost and billing information to stakeholders
• Support audit preparations with required documentation Requirements:
• Education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• More than 3 years in project accounting or cost control
• Advanced skills in Excel and other financial applications
• Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
