Step into our Toronto HQ as a Junior Mechanical Engineer to bring innovative designs to life. Work hands-on in building and scaling devices for plant-based fish production.
In this full-time position, you will play an essential role in the transition of our manufacturing processes. You'll design, fabricate, and experiment with new equipment, continuously ensuring compliance with safety requirements. Collaborate across teams to streamline operations in our pilot line.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop 2D and 3D CAD designs from initial concepts
• Execute design experiments efficiently
• Fabricate and maintain mechanical laboratory equipment
• Create operational protocols for machinery maintenance
• Guide teams on machinery usage and troubleshooting
Requirements:
• 0-5 years in mechanical fabrication, preferably in food industry
• Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor)
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Experienced in using power and hand tools
• Insight into manufacturing and fabrication techniques
