Position Overview
The Social Media Marketing Manager is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for leading strategy across organic social media platforms, developing creative content, and driving community engagement for the agency and its clients. This position will partner closely with paid social media specialists, media relations team members, and client leads to ensure cohesive narrative development, stronger channel performance, and creative execution.
A key part of this role is to stay ahead of emerging trends, changing algorithms, and analytics/measurement tools. This leader brings together creativity, strategy, and operations to elevate the agency’s social media offering and deliver measurable value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Organic Social Media Strategy & Execution
• Develop organic social media strategies for agency clients, including channel mix, messaging, posting cadence, and content pillars.
• Oversee the creation, scheduling, and publication of content across major platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads).
· Utilize analytics platforms (Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics) to monitor performance, conduct A/B testing, and refine strategies.
· Lead strategy and reporting presentations to clients, articulating creative vision and expected outcomes
· Identify, negotiate, and manage influencer collaborations that expand brand reach and foster authentic engagement.
· Collaborate with the paid social media personnel to ensure alignment between organic and paid campaigns, shared creative themes, and cross-promotion strategies.
· Develop dashboards and reporting formats using industry-standard tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.).that clearly communicate insights, KPIs, and recommendations to internal teams and clients
· Spearhead community management to connect with audiences and other brands
· Provide monthly performance reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations for optimization
· Stay informed on platform algorithm changes, new features, and emerging social technologies.
Social Media Content & Creative
• Proficiency with social media content creation and editing tools, including Canva and CapCut, to design engaging graphics, edit short-form videos, and produce platform-ready content.
• Provide creative direction to designers, writers, and content creators on social-first formats (short-form video, reels, stories, graphics, UGC-style content).
· Translate client objectives into original, compelling ideas that drive engagement and support campaign goals.
· Collaborate with SEO and SEM teams to align keyword strategies, audience insights, content themes, and campaign messaging across search and social channels.
· Leverage search performance data and audience trends to inform social content planning and campaign development.
· Develop engaging content including posts, photos, videos, stories, and reels tailored to each platform's unique characteristics
Email Marketing & Nurture Programs
· Develop integrated email marketing campaigns that amplify social media content, thought leadership initiatives, webinars, and product launches.
· Support webinar and event promotion through coordinated social and email strategies designed to increase registrations, attendance, and post-event engagement.
· Coordinate social media campaigns with automated marketing workflows to deliver consistent messaging throughout the customer journey.
CRM & Audience Development
· Partner with CRM and marketing automation teams to support audience growth, lead nurturing, customer retention, and first-party data initiatives.
· Identify and implement strategies to convert social media audiences into owned channels, including email subscriptions, communities, webinars, and customer engagement programs.
· Analyze audience behavior and engagement trends to inform segmentation, targeting, and lifecycle marketing efforts.

• Location: Hybrid, Vancouver office—in office four days per week
• Compensation: 75,000-77,000 CAD with full benefits
Pay: $75,000.00-$77,000.00 per year
