We are recruiting on behalf of a leading transportation company seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Port Coquitlam, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced LTL environment and is ready to make a measurable impact.
This role reports directly to the Terminal Manager and plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency, productivity, and cost control within a unionized setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage dock and driver productivity while optimizing operational processes
• Oversee inbound and outbound freight flow to ensure efficiency and service excellence
• Lead operations within a unionized environment
• Monitor and manage key operational KPIs, including cost controls and performance metrics
• Support and engage with customers as required to maintain strong service relationships
• Contribute to overall terminal performance and operational improvements
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in an LTL transportation environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
• Solid communication skills, both internal and customer-facing
• Experience managing operational KPIs and cost performance
• P&L exposure or experience is considered an asset
• Self-motivated, driven, and eager to make a difference
